Our physiotherapists incorporate manual therapy, education and lifestyle intervention, active rehabilitation, exercise programming, neuromuscular acupuncture, myofascial work, Clinical Pilates, physio yoga and cupping and Graston technique. We want our patients to be active participants in their healing and we do not rely on passive care. We want to give you the tools to help yourself throughout your entire lifespan!
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a specialized form of physiotherapy that may involve internal and external assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles. Our pelvic floor muscle system is involved with major system functions including stability of the low back & hips, support for our organs, control over our bodily functioning (urination/bowel movements) and sexual performance. Our registered pelvic health physiotherapist can provide unique care to this integral part of our body system and are valuable for women with issues surrounding pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, pelvic pain, leaking pee or poop, prolapse and more.
Paediatric Physiotherapy
From improving gross and fine motor skills to helping with sensory integration and sports injury, paediatric physiotherapy can make a big difference in a child's overall development. Paediatric physiotherapy is useful for children with: balance and coordination issues, ambulation and gait issues, sports injuries, sensory integration, and hitting motor milestones. Our paediatric physiotherapist Aaron works with children of all ages.
Group Based Physiotherapy
Group-based physiotherapy involves physiotherapy services in a small group setting with participants with common conditions or goals, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Group based classes often include a combination of exercises, education, and tailored guidance specific to the needs of the participants, promoting social interaction and shared experiences. Group-based physiotherapy can be particularly effective for conditions where individuals benefit from peer support - such as chronic pain management, prenatal and postnatal rehabilitation, or certain musculoskeletal issues. This form of physiotherapy is beneficial as it is more accessible financially and schedule wise and longer sessions allow for more active rehabilitation to take place.

Every session involves constantly assessment and screening of your overall movement patterns as well as joint dynamics. Many peripheral injuries in our extremities can be linked to how well our spine and pelvis (midline) is functioning.
Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Prenatal chiropractic care is a specialized form of chiropractic treatment tailored to the unique needs and concerns of pregnant individuals. Chiropractors who provide prenatal care have done extra training to focus on addressing musculoskeletal issues that commonly arise during pregnancy, such as back pain, pelvic discomfort, baby alignment and postural changes. Using gentle and safe adjustments, chiropractors aim to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and optimize the alignment of the spine and pelvis. Prenatal chiropractic care may also incorporate education on exercises, stretches, and proper body mechanics to support overall maternal well-being. Many pregnant individuals seek this form of care to enhance comfort during pregnancy, prepare the body for childbirth, and promote overall musculoskeletal health during this transformative period.
Infant/Paediatric Chiropractic Care
Infant chiropractic care involves specialized chiropractic treatments tailored to the unique needs of infants and young children. Chiropractors who provide this care are certified through the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association (ICPA) and use gentle and safe techniques to address issues related to the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and overall well-being of infants. The focus is often on promoting proper spinal alignment, addressing any potential birth-related stress or trauma, and supporting healthy development. Parents may seek infant chiropractic care for issues such as colic, breastfeeding difficulties, and gastrointestinal and sleep disturbances, with the goal of enhancing the baby's comfort and promoting overall health. Chiropractors specializing in infant care typically undergo specific training to ensure a safe and appropriate approach to addressing the unique considerations of the paediatric population.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is a hands-on therapeutic approach that involves the manipulation of soft tissues, muscles, and joints to promote relaxation, promotes circulation of lymph fluid and blood, relieves tension, and improves overall well-being. Massage therapy techniques can be tailored to the individual, their injury or concern and their tolerance for pressure and tissue manipulation.
Kristen Smith RMT and Nicole Bell RMT are also certified in pre & postnatal and infant massage therapy. Prenatal massage techniques are adapted to ensure the safety of both the mother and the developing baby, focusing on areas prone to discomfort such as the lower back and hips. Postnatal massage therapy is geared towards individuals who have recently given birth, aiming to aid in the recovery process, alleviate muscle tension, and promote relaxation during the postpartum period. Both prenatal and postnatal massage therapy can provide physical and emotional benefits, contributing to a more comfortable and healthful pregnancy experience and aiding in the postpartum recovery process.
Virtual Physiotherapy
Virtual physiotherapy is a form of physiotherapy delivered remotely through video on the Jane App. This approach allows for the assessment and management of various musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, or rehabilitation needs without the need for physical presence in our clinic. These treatment sessions typically involve exercise demonstrations, biomechanics feedback, education, and ongoing communication between the physiotherapist and the patient to monitor progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. Virtual visits will be followed up by an email treatment plan and independent program to do at home that may involve exercises, lifestyle changes and education.
